4.0 out of 5 stars My First Christian Punk Rock Experience!, June 9, 2006

This review is from: Humane Society (Audio CD)
I first purchased "Humane Society" on cassette back in 1992 when I was but a freshman in high school. I had just become a Christian and was starting to come in contact with all these cool Christian groups that sounded just like secular bands. Crashdog was the first Christian punk rock group I'd ever heard...The Crucified had pretty much gone thrash by this point. I bought "Humane Society" from a little Christian bookstore in Downey, CA. The cool thing about Crashdog was that they were experimental...not just some Orange County punk that was nothing but repetition. I was also heavily into the music of the '60s so anything experimental I had great appreciation for as well. My two favorite moments of the entire album were (and still are) the Willy Wonka introduction to the first track "Progress" and the bagpipes in "Bloody Lane." And all these years later, this album is still a total classic in Christian rock circles. "ON THE CROSS HANGS ANOTHER JEW...ONLY HIS LOVE CAN CARRY US THOUGH."

5.0 out of 5 stars Crashdog - Greatest Unheard Punk Band!, December 23, 2004

This review is from: Humane Society (Audio CD)
Yeah they're a chrisian band. So? Don't be a b igot! the first cd in the great experience of listening to crashdog. the message conveyed in every song is like always extremely powerful from faces issues of life through to the issues of anti-legalism. This is a hard album to find and I'm surprised I saw it here on Amazon.com! If you like punk then you buy this! Don't care about your narrow minded view of what punk is open your mind and buy this album and support this incredible band!
