a 1990s must-own,

From the great Pushead cover art to the absolutely brutal music, this is a genuine classic of metallic-hardcore...a genre that is 99 percent CRAP. These guys (along with Ringworm) were one of the few bands to follow in the steps of good late 80s hardcore bands that mixed metal and hardcore, ala Cro Mags, Leeway, Outburst, etc. ESSENTIAL even though Victory Records is a total Nambla-fest.

Why this is one of the greatest albums,
By A Customer
This review is from: Humanity Is the Devil (Audio CD)
By far this is one of the greatest albums ever, it transcends hardcore and metal into something far better. its not stuck in the political trappings of most of todays music, instead it deal with subjects such as Apocolypse and total disaster...definitly a vvaluable source of preparation. END

This is the album that stood hardcore music on its head and proved that abstract themes like evil, God and the nature of man could be married to the heavy, mosh-ladden sounds of hardcore. Integrity's most apocalyptical work boasts of not only the eeriest monologue in the annals of hardcore music, but some of the hardest and heaviest music as well. Referencing archaic philosophical interpretations of evil and man's roll in the world, Integrity managed to create a work that seems complete from the first track to the last. Much like the "concept" albums so prevalent in rock music during the 1970's, Integrity created a disc that almost begs to be listened to in one sitting. "Humanity Is the Devil" blew open the doors of what was possible, musically and thematically in hardcore and cemented the band's legacy as a powerhouse on the heavy music scene.
