This is a seasoner - NOT a humidifier,
By

The reviewer above must have thought this was a humidifier. This is a SEASONER for your humidor. This seasons the humidor, and then you use a humidifier to keep the humidity constant. This product works for what it is intended for - seasoning.

Does exactly what it is supposed to do, the only problem is you do have to wait two weeks. Sometimes doing something right takes longer..

This is the third time I have used this product and it has worked perfectly everytime to season my humidors. I have used it on a smaller 25 count, 50, and 150. They have worked everytime with no problems. Check Boveda's website to ensure you have the correct number for your humidor.

Great product!,

Nice and easy way to season a humidor. Depending on the time of year, summer or winter.. This product can take up to 2 weeks to season your humidor. Open it up for a little while, put in the cigars, voila! DONE.

Buy several of these and throw them in your humidor for weeks? Why should I pay $12 to season a humidor over the course of 2 weeks? I only bought these because I was new to cigars. They are really neat, but the price is ridiculous over the long haul when compared to just about any other humidification method. I've found that using distilled water in your humidifier (without solution for seasoning) works at least as fast and costs pennies. Besides, my Marshall humidor didn't even require seasoning. The Boveda products are nice but humidisticks cost the same and last at least a year a piece!

use these for intended purpose,

These are designed to "season" a humidor which is typically spanish cedar. They create a saturation of the inside to assist in keeping ciagars at 70/70. They are Not for routine use and I would sugest after seasoning using regular humidifier such as one with crystals which activate using distilled water or glycol solution, which is better than water if the unit calls for same. These are a must for proper preperation to assist in getting the humidor to stay at 70/70 using some other method such as regular boveda or process noted above. I can assure you I do not know everything but these jewels help.

These do what they say, season the humidor. I used 4 to season a 75-100 ct humidor.

I use the black plastic sponge device that comes with my humidors in conjunction with these Boveda packs. They regulate the humidity given off by the plastic sponge perfectly and keep everything balanced. I use 2 of these with the plastic device in my 100-count humidor. Using the boveda's as a way to balance the humidity is the most cost effective way in my opinion.

I concur...,

I have to concur with the guy that knows what the products intended usage is. This product is not meant to keep a constant 70/70. It is meant to push the humidor past 70 and then you use one of their 69 or 72 packs to keep it around 70.If you use this system I would suggest you buy the calibration pack, the seasoning pack and 2 of each % packs for each 50 cigar humidor you will use. Actually, make that a calibration pack for each humidor you own. A seasoning pack for every 50 cigars you own. And finally, one of each % pack for each humidor you own plus, one more of each pack for every 50 cigars you own. When done you can pretty much be rest assured everything will sit evenly for months. |
