I expected this to be good for mounting my transducer in my kayak. Great if you never turn your kayak upside down as the grease will leak out. I tried using the cup to hold marine goop - but the transducer kept crawling up the sides.
complete waste of money.

I Purchased this product for my Tarpon 120 after considering many of the cheaper install options. For about $10 dollars more than most do-it-yourself options I bought this kit. It installed fast with a clean, sturdy professional look that does not damage the kayak and can be easily removed in the future if desired. It also improves the signal of my Piranha Max 190C fish finder. For peace of mind and the easy no worry installation, I think its worth the investment.

Saves time and makes the install so eay. Mine works perfect! BE SURE you follow instructions and allow the proper time for the holder to set.

This a great accessory for fitting the transducer of humminbird fish finder inside kayak hulls. Whilst my sit on top has a customised scupper hole to accomodate transducer there are varying issues around using this, The MHX XMK is the best commercial alternative that I could find and does the job really well. I cannot fault the product in terms of quality and its fitness for purpose.

The cost to obtain in UK is extortionate as there are no UK supply points that I could find, so carriage from US was necessary evil. With the increase in kayak fishing in the UK it would seem a good move to get this on the Amazon UK stock list ...please!

I was able to follow the directions and found a video on YouTube to just explain it a little better. I have an Ocean Kayak Malibu 2 XL and this fit just forward of the rear hatch in a flat spot in the middle of the hull. Super easy to do. I like the grease better than some other methods that use epoxy. Epoxy tends to have air bubbles and I'm thinking that the grease will allow them to escape better, thus making a better bond. I did use a Humminbird 160 transducer and it fit snugly so I don't have to worry about it moving around.

Bought for Kayak fishing! Heard so much horror stories of people using cheap transducer mounting methods, sounded like more frustration then anything else. Used this kit with P'max 170 and have no problems at all. Deepest I've been to was 600' of 800' works flawlessly. I highly suggest spending the money to get this kit, very easy to install. If you have problems with installation or your FF doesn't work right... you dont know how to read instructions. Extract the best performance from your FF through hull mounted transducer!!! just do it right the first time

Bought this for use on a 2nd hand cobra fish n dive and very pleased. Whole process was easy and effective and it worked, which was even better. Do note that although the YouTube bid shows this as a continuous process the instructions say before popping the transducer in you need to let the adhesive cure for 24 hours. The video is a bit misleading in this regard. But if like me you checked the web for the best waynto mount a ff on a f"n"d cobra this was as I said easy and effective.

It came with a detailed and easy instruction. Installation was quite easy too. I Followed the instruction and found the grease leaking although I followed the manual and settled the stick tape overnight. It is cold weather so the grease is not spreading yet but not sure if it will hold during the hot summer time. Have not tried the kayak out yet so I can not tell of the readig accuracy yet.
