The Hummingbird VHF 55s Portable Marine Radio provides a complete mobile marine communications solution with the security of a rugged submersible design to withstand the harshest environments. The Hummingbird Portable Marine Radio features and ergonomic design with non-slip rubberized grips. A large diagonal backlit LCD display gives you the visibility you require day or night. User selectable options allow you to run the radio at full five-watt power or a single watt.

Monitoring all channels, the Marine Radio keeps you safe and up-to-date. The radio performs normal scan watches on all channels, specially programmed watches on memory set channels, and a priority scan on 16 critical channels. Ten weather channels provide NOAA weather alerts.

The Marine Radio runs on reliable and convenient alkaline battery power and is built with automatic power saving circuitry to preserve battery life. A battery level indicator lets you track remaining power. Hummingbird offers a three-year limited warranty on this portable radio.

The Hummingbird radio is an excellent product. I took it to the Philippines and it was a great product that worked well in the water and out of the water.

Bought this to replace a very old Humminbird handheld. Like to leave a handheld with my wife when I am fishing in Canada and she stays back at the cabin. Bought the radio that uses 6 AA batteries. Purchased some good rechargable AA's and they last a very long time. When they go bad I can just buy new AA rechargables. Very happy with radio's performance.
