The Humminbird XNT 9 QB 90 T Transom Mount Transducer is a high-speed transducer designed to mount on the transom, or back, of the boat, in contact with the surface of the water, and operate in conjunction with a compatible Humminbird sonar or fish finder system. This unit is a QuadraBeam transducer that features 20-, 60- and 90-degree cone angles operating on 200 kHz, 83 kHx and 455 kHz frequencies respectively.
The XNT 9 QB 90 T includes a built-in temperature sensor, a 20-foot cable, and all the necessary high-speed hardware to get up and running right away. Although this unit has the same hole pattern as some older-version transducers, it utilizes a new design that is more secure and less prone to kick up at the high force of waves, as well as having an improved running angle, and an optional lock-down screw to override the kick up. The Humminbird XNT 9 QB 90 T transducer is specifically designed for use with Humminbird's; 300TX, 400TX, Wide Optic, Wide Portrait, Wide Panorama, Wide Paramount, FF575, Matrix 37, Matrix67, Matrix 87c. Matrix 97, 737, 767, 787c, 787c2i, 917c, 957c, 997c, and PiranhaMax 240 sonar devices and fish finders. This transducer is backed by Humminbird's one-year limited warranty.
Product Description
Transom transducers mount on the transom of the boat in contact with the surface of the water. Many models incorporate an impact release feature that allows the transducer to pivot up and out of the way if struck by an object. 20ft cable and hardware included. Really changes the way I fish, being able to 'see' out of the sides of the boat. Knowing the structure around the boat really helps finding baitfish and where the big ones are hiding in structure!

Misleading,

Nowhere in the description of this item did it state that the temperature sensor would not work with all Humminbird fishfinder models listed. Very misleading! I do not fault the transducer...I fault the seller, Red's Gear. But you have my money now, and I guess that's all that matters. Never again!!!!

Good product and of good quality. The hardest part of this is the installation of the tranducer holder to the transom. The directions are very good and descriptive. It does take a few tries to tweak it in. If you get it to far off it will create quit the rooster tail. A third hand can help a bunch on the installation.
As far as on the water haven't got to use much as I like but seems to be very sensitive so turned it down a little and had good results. I also bought a spare transducer holder from Humminbird for $11 for emergency back up. Had read a few reviews where there had broke (from high speeds 60+). My unit is a 788ci all products are working great together.
