This transducer works well on the rear of a pontoon that has a bracket welded on from the factory. \
It stays out of harms way as my bracket is up on the toon about an inch.

I very seldom am amazed anymore, but this product did the trick. I was very sceptical that two sided tape would hold this tranducer in place on the hull of my boat at speeds of 30+ mph but so far it's doing just fine. It solved the drilling holes issue and had no backspray problems....amazing.
