I found this book to be one of those that once you start reading you can't put down. And being familiar with police situations, I also found the stories original and funny.

Police Officer Bob Morrissey was able, through years of dealing with the "bad guys," to keep his sanity, objectivity, and sense of humor. How he did this, I really don't know, because police work is a dangerous profession as my daughter will attest.

After meeting him in Ft. Pierce, FL one Saturday morning, I can readily verify Bob is a very funny guy. I immediately liked him and we chatted about his former job with the Toledo Police Department.

Once I started reading this humorous book, I found it hard to put down even when I was dog-tired. The calls he answered seemed, at times, almost surreal and impossible to believe. Yet they existed and Officer Bob answered them with the consummate skill and true professionalism that sets a high standard for other officers.

Definitely a very good read!

Bob Morrissey shows himself to be a master storyteller in this deceptively simple, cleverly crafted collection of upbeat true-life stories in the life of a fomer police officer. It is loaded with upbeat ironies of the "street" as seen through the eyes of an astute observer of the human condition. It's a feel-good hoot! Heartily recommended.
