After Humu learns of Turtle's adventure to land where he saw a rainbow, Humu decides to take a journey of his own to find a rainbow but gets lost along the way. About the Author
Author Kimberly A. Jackson grew up in Montana, and fell in love with the islands during a family trip to Honolulu as a child. She hoped to return sometime and make the islands her home. She received a Bachelor of Science, summa cum laude from Arizona State University and received a Juris Doctor degree with high honors from the University of Montana. Humu was inspired by her swims in the Kona Bay and questions from her daughter Keli. Illustrator Yuko Green has created artwork for Island Heritage since 1993. Her illustrations and designs of children and flowers can be found on a variety of colorful gift and stationery products. Born and raised in Japan, Yuko earned an Art degree from the University of Washington. She returned to Japan and worked as a children's clothing designer until her marriage brought her back to the U.S. Since 1987, she has resided on the Big Island with her husband Stephen, and their daughters Eve and Daisy.
