4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty cool
The reason I rated this 4 stars is that there is NOT enough space for matches inside. In fact, I can't think of anything useful that could fit in there except a map, folded very small. Everything else is good! I was happy to see that the batteries ARE replaceable for the flashlight.

1.0 out of 5 stars It would indeed be an adventure to depend on this thing
This is your typical piece of cheap Chinese crap. It took me 10 minutes with the unit to determine it is suitable for use as a toy for a 6 year old boy, and little else. The light is usable to a range of about 1 inch. Farther away than that and it's useless. The watertight compartment comes open so easily that I doubt it is actually waterproof. I did not bother...

I did not bother wasting my time verifying this, however. The "breakaway" neck cord is a good idea, but the one on my unit would break away in a stiff breeze (1-2 mph), and would result in the unit being quickly lost. My solution was to convert it to a break-a-neck neck cord by tying the ends together. The magnifier is about an inch in diameter. I'm not sure what it's good for, beyond giving ants a tan. Maybe if you were to put it in front of the LED light you could extend its range to 2 inches, I dunno.

Bottom line, it's not worth the money. It's not even worth it if they paid you to take one. Take your $10 and enjoy a Happy Meal instead.
