Better, not so boring as previous releases.,
This review is from: Hundre Ar Gammal (Audio CD)
When I first had the chance to check out Khold,it was with their first release masterpiss of pain.I thought it was a solid good listen, black metal that is thick and full of grooves and not too typical hooks, stuff you don't normally find in the genre. So I picked myself up a copy. Then Phantom, morke graver kammmer, and krek came rolling out 1 after the other and in my opinion those 3 releases were boring and lacked the feel of the first release. Now hundre ar gammal is out and not only dose it share the feel of the first release,it has a couple surprises as well.It is still thick and groovy, but the production is a lot clearer. And the tempo is up just the slightest. And Gard's vocals are even sicker than be for.I am glad to say that I don't hear the Darkthrone influence on this release either that so many people compared Khold to in the earlier releases. It is a good piece of black metal worthy of a purchase, grim, cold, sinister, and full of hate.Actually it was pretty refreshing when I popped it in the CD player.Check it out if your a fan of masterpiss of pain, this shouldn't disappoint you.
