I like that each poem is presented in Kanji, hiragana, and an Enghlish Translation. A brief history or insight is offered for each poem. I enjoy the illustrations that depict the poems as well.
This book offers one possible translation of each poem. Since each poem is several hundred years the older Japanese is being used interpretation is widely debated, but each one is very close to one another. Also, Haiku consists of just a few words lending to additional debate over meanings. I think this is a nice approach to studying Haiku and would recommend it to anyone who would like to learn about this incredible literary form.

The Kindle version of this book has a Romanized version of the poems and an English translation. That might be worth $2.75, but only rates three stars for the absence of kanji and hiragana.
