I'm a card-carrying Hundredth Woman,
This review is from: The Hundredth Woman (Paperback)
I loved The Hundredth Woman. The characters are real women who are great role models for how to find and follow your path in life, whatever that may be. They demonstrate how living with passion can transform us as individuals, and can transform the world. Through the characters, the author shares the secret keys to a happier, richer life: open your heart, love enthusiastically, laugh often, connect with nature, be persistent in following your dreams, despite the obstacles, and make connections with like-minded souls from all realms. I found the women and their relationships to be an inspiration, and a reminder that I am not alone in my personal quest. There ARE other women like me out there - women who want their lives to be richer, more meaningful, and more connected. This novel helps us to see how to accomplish that. I plan to give this book to several of my friends, and will re-read it regularly. I'm happy to consider myself a Hundredth Woman!

An Important Book for These Times,
By
This review is from: The Hundredth Woman (Paperback)
I loved The Hundredth Woman! Weaving women's history from the witch hunting craze in Europe with the lives of three modern women, Kate Green has created an action-packed adventure sure to entertain. But The Hundredth Woman is more than "just" fiction because the world she writes about is our world, the trials and tribulations of the characters are ours as well, and their process of awakening and growth can be ours, too. Kate asks, "What if women hold the key to our future?" By the end of the book, it's clear that we do.

Clearly a book whose time has come!,

In The Hundredth Woman, Kate Green has masterfully woven the stories of three women whose lives intertwine in an exploration of their feelings, desires, strengths and passions as they come to grips with the true essence of who they are. The book draws you in right from the beginning and it doesn't let go. Far more than just a novel of fiction, Hundredth Woman brings to light the power women have always had and the power that is being positively reclaimed today. I found myself mesmerized by the characters and the story, but far more than that, I found the message exciting, empowering, and impactful on many, many levels of my being. The book is a celebration of women and life. And this `hundredth woman' is sharing it with the other `hundredth women' in her life!

Inspired,
By Scott Rice (Portland, OR) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Hundredth Woman (Paperback)
Kate Green is inspired. She has a message for all women in this book. Fortunately she is also a good storyteller. As a man, I was able to read it cover to cover, swallow a few bitter pills of knowledge about how men have treated women, and still enjoy myself. The best scenes involve the interactions of spirit and mortal characters. Kate totally removes the veils of seperation with lively dialog. This is definitely a book to encourage the feminine qualities needed to balance our world today.

The Hundredth Woman is an inspiring novel about women finding themselves, connecting with friends and lovers, and embracing the spiritual world. They tap into the strength of all women, present and past, to follow their chosen paths and become the women they are supposed to be. This is an amazing and empowering book that every woman over the age of 13 should read. Throughout the book, author Kate Green weaves many lessons for us all. Lessons many of us know but tend to forget. It's an excellent pathway to claiming our best lives. Bless you, Kate Green, for putting your soul into this. May you be phenomenally rewarded for your efforts and for bringing such an important work to us.

Women discovering their inner strengths,
By
This review is from: The Hundredth Woman (Paperback)
In The Hundredth Woman Kate Green has uniquely crafted three goddess characters full of passion, drama, and beauty. They are real-life women enduring real-life battles. Well-written with a clearly defined plot, Kate's novel is much more than a book "just for women." There is no hardcore male bashing -- only hardcore women discovering their inner strengths and how to use them -- powers the author experienced while traveling the world learning from indigenous female spiritual leaders. The story includes women confronting ghosts from the past, women learning how to rebuild their lives, and women trying to save the planet -- all entwined together in this highly spiritual life-changing novel.

Read it and be it,

This review is from: The Hundredth Woman (Paperback)
The Hundredth Woman is far more than a darn good yarn about some likable women dealing with life's lumps and finding their individual ways to move the world the way they want it to go. It's also an immediate inspiration - you can identify with these women and see that you can move the world too - and it provides a box of tools to help you do it. Have a great time enjoying the story, then go out and be the Hundredth Woman - that's what I'm doing after reading this book.

Recovery for Feminine Spirituality,
By Takin' Time (North Carolina, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Hundredth Woman (Paperback)
This is the book that can heal all the damage done by collisions with religious/societal dogma and glass ceilings. Every woman should read this book from start to finish, and then start reading it again. It deserves to be the best selling book of this millennium--and no doubt will be as its readers pass it on to other readers, a process now well underway.Morgan, Clarissa, Serena, Brigid and Big Mom, the protagonists of the story, remind women of who we are--and who everyone knew we were before we were defined by outdated and always false misogynic ideology and fear perpetrated by religious, political and societal systems for at least 2000 years. Of course, other books have done that, so you might well ask, "So what's be big deal about this one?" The answer is that this is a positive book for everyone. It not only restores pride in themselves for women, but it very gently points out that allowing women to express their own natures and exercise their strength is a positive thing not only for us women, but for our male counterparts and in fact for the planet itself. And if that weren't enough to make reading this book worthwhile for everyone, Kate Green manages to put all that into a story that is enormously readable and--can you believe it--FUN!! Nobody in this book wants to stamp out the males of the species--just to avoid the negative ones. That's fair enough, isn't it? Green has studied feminine/goddess traditions around the world, often living with the indigenous people from whom she was learning. Her very valid conclusion, so beautifully presented in "THW", is that the positive feminine spirit is still alive and unconquered by religion, societies, and by the self-doubt of every woman who holds that spark of the divine inside herself--and that's every woman, whether she is aware of it or not. Further, it will make every man of quality eager to encourage all the females in his sphere of influence to express her true self and make her mark on the world. Are the women in this book perfect? Not at all, but they are growing in personal strength and finding enough of that to enable them to reach out to one another and around the world to restore the strength and beauty that is the female spirit. You know at the end of the book that the best is yet to be--and that you, the reader, are going to be part of it. Call "THW" a modern myth or Everywoman allegory or whatever you please. Ultimately The Hundredth Woman spirit is destined to spread and truly save the world. Another "hundredth woman" gave the book to me, and I have already started passing it on. The Hundredth Woman spirit is spreading, and we are all going to be blessed by it. Awomen!

I have been trying the website and pouring over (nothing) leads to learn more about Kate Green. Not in a scary way, just because I am so convinced that I manifested this book into my life in perfect timing and have questions I would love to ask her. That should sum up how influenced I am, in a positive way, by this book! It is a must read for all women and men, in an effort to speed up the evolution of human consciousness! Any thoughts on how to learn more on her?
