The definitive book on Vizsla's, November 24, 1998
This is a wonderful book, full of photographs and very detailed information about all aspects of the breed. It is certainly the most comprehensive book on Vizslas that I have seen. It covers the different breed standards in Hungary, UK & US, history of the breed, breeding, showing, training, working, infact I can't think of anything that you would wish to know that isn't covered in this beautiful tome.
I believe the book is currently out of print, I managed to get hold of the last copy that the old publishers had and although expensive,(I paid £40.00) it is a joy to own. I have it on good authority (The Hungarian Vizsla Society - UK) that Gay Gottlieb is in the process of producing an updated addition which is supposed to be available late 1998. As soon as it is available I will be purchasing a copy.
I thoroughly recommend that anyone who owns or is interested in Vizslas gets hold of a copy, you will not be disappointed.
