There are two games in this: One for 2-4 players and one for 5-12 players. The first game is very hard to comprehend and it gets old pretty quickly. The second game is a blast but its hard to find at least 5 people to play. I like it though.

Cute game, confusing rules. The game play has a lot of the feel of Avalon The Resistance and Loveletters (Never played Loveletters, but people keep telling me that it is very similar) A lot of fun, if you regularly have too many for Avalon, but it is very confusing to follow, and it is easy for someone to be eliminated very early on. The pro is that they can still play, somewhat, especially if they are a capitol citizen, the con is that because they can still play somewhat, they can't wander off to another game, and sometimes wind up bored. If one person at the table knows the rules well, and can explain them, then it makes a good variation from other games of the type. Otherwise, it gets confusing.

Did not try the smaller included game, my friends did, and had a hard time figuring it out.

You do not need to know the books/movies to play this game, and it actually makes it more difficult to explain, if half the people at the table do, and half don't.

It's confusing at first, but after you understand it it can go really fast and it's fun. I usually play the 2-4 game but I've never played the 5-12 game.

The card game was a little difficult to figure out. But I think we will continue to try to get the hang of it.

I purchased this game for the heck of it, because I love this series. The game has two different ways to play, one for a small group and one way for a larger. The rules are slightly confusing at first and take a little time to grasp, but once you've got the hang of them, the game flies by. It's super fun to play with friends, I even played it in line at the Catching Fire premiere, since the game is small and portable. Would recommend to any fan of the Hunger Games!!
