I was expecting a finger puppet version of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. My fault for assuming that based on the very vague description. However, the text is severely lacking. It is a basic counting book that literally says "1 delicious apple, 2 crisp pears...." The book only goes to 5, and I doubt there are more than a couple dozen words in the book. And, the caterpillar looks part bunny.
Despite that, my 2 year old enjoys counting and pretending to eat the fruit, and kissing the bunnypillar. He'd give this book 5 stars.

I got several of these to give away as baby gifts. I got them all at a great price. I would recommend this as a gift for a very young child, or as a "first book" for a toddler.

Adorable book for my little man! He loves grabbing the caterpillar as it wiggles around the book (which is of course really my finger)!

very hungy caterpillar book
It is a great book, lots of colors! My kids llove Ind it arrived very quickly (less than 24hrs!). I'd recommend this book to anyone with small children : )
