This is really an amazing album. Its just a bit over 48 mins long so it doesn't drag on and on. Every track on here is great, but my favorite is Half Baked. I love the production and the fact that Grimm is able to stick with the Gingerbread motif the WHOLE WAY THROUGH while still making each song relevant and understandable.
Great lyrics, Great production. This one will be in my rotation for awhile. There have been some good CD's that dropped this year: Jesus Price Superstar Ultimate Victory Eardrum I think this one belongs in that class. It might actually be my favorite album to hit this year Stand out tracks: Half Baked The Fox The Hunt for the Gingerbread Man Earth

Grimm just like Doom creates albums that have a concept to them. On this album the concept just so happens to be ginger bread men and candy analogies. This is a very different concept/album but grimm manages to pull it off. Grimm's lyrics are dope and the beats are dope as well. The downside to the album is the candy analogies can get a bit old. But they are more silly than annoying so the concept still works. This is a decent album and I have never heard a grimm album that just flat out sucks as the other reviewer states.

This album was released after the masterful 'American Hunger' so it's not surprising there is a bit of a drop-off from the 60 track epic. Hunt of the Gingerbread Man is first and foremost a concept album. Grimm skillfully tells the story of a gangster gingerbread man (Gingy) while detailing his exploits over the course of the album. The production feels bargain-rate at times, but Grimm has always had the ability to overcome anything with his lyrics and skillful delivery. You get the feeling making this album was cathartic for Percy Carey and that he made this record as much for himself as for fans/sales.
If you're a fan of Grimm this is a must-have, but if you're just getting into this scene maybe try something a little more fan-friendly like Scars and Memories or American Hunger.

This CD sucks. Point blank. candy analogies only go so far, like past the second song then everything else is lame.
