Dan's story is the BEST yet!, August 25, 2009
I'm a huge fan of the Bullet Catcher series, having read each book in it twice, and I can honestly say this was my number one favorite so far. We finally get Dan Gallagher's story, after all this time of wondering if he would find true love with his boss, Lucy Sharpe. He didn't, and after I read this book, I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out.
In this story, Dan goes off to find Maggie, a woman he once knew when he was working as an undercover FBI agent because the drug lord she helped put away is out of jail. He just wants to be sure she's okay, certain she'll never recognize him because he'd had a very thorough cover fourteen years earlier when they were intimate - plus, she thinks that guy "Michael Scott" is dead. But nothing in Maggie's life is what he expects it to be, and some of the most fun in the whole book is when Dan discovers Maggie is the one with the real life-changing secret.
Before long, they have to face the truth (and I really liked that St. Claire didn't drag it out to the end - in fact I loved the way Maggie found out) and some really bad guys are after them for something Maggie has unwittingly kept over the years. They have to figure out a very complex puzzles to find a missing fortune and save their lives. Their attraction is fantastic, some of THE best sexual tension I have ever read. Dan is funny and tough and sexy and Maggie is one of the strongest, smartest heroines without taking over everything. Their past is ugly and dark, and they've both changed so much since they knew each other, but their final declaration of love is completely believable.
I give this one the highest recommendation - I'm already reading it again while I wait for the next one that comes out in a month. (That Bullet Catcher, Con, is introduced in this book and looks like he'll be just as much fun.)

One of my favorite books..., August 28, 2009
This review is from: Hunt Her Down (Bullet Catchers) (Mass Market Paperback)
When I thought Roxanne St. Claire couldn't do any better than Now You Die, because it's the perfect book, she *did* it. Believe it or not, Hunt Her Down is even better. It's the best of the Bullet Catchers series. The story is intriguing, the characters are interesting, the suspense builds up to the last minute.
And... it's absolutely HILARIOUS. I laughed out loud so many times reading this book, like I hadn't in the longest time. In fact, one of my favorite book lines EVER is within these pages (so, you better pick it up and read NOW).
St. Claire built up the atmosphere for Dan's book from the start, and she didn't let the readers down. She nailed it. Absolutely. Got it as good as it gets.
This is the kind of book you can't put down until you're done, then, you just want to pick it up and read it again. Everyone should read it. Seriously! :)

Hunt Her Down- A Joyfully Recommended Title, June 30, 2010
This review is from: Hunt Her Down (Bullet Catchers) (Mass Market Paperback)
Fourteen years ago, young Maggie Varcek was madly in love with Michael Scott. Until the night he was killed in an FBI drug raid. Devastated by his loss and realizing she'd aided in the bust, however unwittingly, Maggie flees into the night, very alone and carrying secrets with her, in more ways than one.
Former FBI agent Dan Gallagher, once undercover as Michael Scott, is now a Bullet Catcher. When he hears that Ramon Jimenez is now out of jail, he wants to check on Maggie, the woman he once loved. He doesn't plan on letting her know who he is, but he wants to make sure she's all right.
All that changes when he sees Maggie and realizes his feelings for her are still there. Then things begin to happen that let Dan know he was right about Ramon being bent on revenge against Maggie. Ramon wants something Maggie has, and Dan is determined to keep her safe.
Maggie's not sure what to feel when she realizes the man she knew as Michael Scott is alive and well. But the feelings she had ran deep, and despite her anger they share a very special bond. She's determined not to let him back into her heart, but some things don't work out as planned.
Can Maggie and Dan overcome fourteen years of separation, and numerous secrets and deceptions, to keep all they hold dear safe, all the while losing their hearts to each other all over again?
Hunt Her Down continues the Bullet Catcher tradition of fantastic suspense and incredible romance. Dan Gallagher has fascinated me from the first Bullet Catcher novel, and that fascination was ramped up in this book. I absolutely loved watching him and Maggie reconnect. His protective instincts melted my heart. Maggie, a strong-willed woman who has overcome much in her life to be successful, is the perfect foil for the perfect hero.
Roxanne St. Claire does marvelous research and brings exotic settings to life. If you enjoy romantic suspense you will be enamored by the Bullet Catcher series. Each one builds on the last and is full of tension, of both the romantic and dangerous type.
I highly recommend the Bullet Catchers, especially Hunt Her Down. It is a Joyfully Recommended title for me that will sit on my keeper shelf to be taken down and reread several times.
