I bought these for my 23 month old daughter for Christmas. She is a very busy child who doesn't play with anything for very long. She has taken these blocks out every single day since receiving them. They are nicely sized for her little hands and easy for her to use, especially on the hard floor (versus carpet). My 10 year old son, 8 year old daughter and I love to play them with her! It's fun to use the pattern/design pages Mindware has included with the blocks and to try to create some of our own designs. This is the one toy she gets out every day and I see this being a toy that grows with her as she ages and matures.

This is a fine toy. My 2 year old is having fun with it. As it turns out this product is really called Hexi Snaps. These Hexi snaps are merely marketed and distributed by Mindware with a mark up. You can directly order the Hexi snaps here on amazon at a cheaper price.

I purchased this toy for my 3-year-old son and my first impression was that the pieces were larger than I expected (which is good). He has received a lot of toys over the holidays and although this one is not his "favorite" of them all, he does like to play with it and he is intrigued by the end result. It comes with a lot of patterns printed on durable cards so the kids can have a color model to build their designs. The plastic is durable as well- I was worried the little knobs would be breaking off, but they are holding up very well without any sign of wear so far. The only downfall is the price is a little on the upper end. I do like the educational and creative value the toy has to offer, and it was unique to other toys so I just had to have it. I'm looking forward to seeing how he will grow into using it more independently, "free designing."

This toy rotates regularly through playtime. After a move it was packed away and when it was eventually removed from its box, play began immediately.

We first had to teach our two-year-old granddaughter about the interlocking process. Then she could assemble pieces on her own.
