Book Description

One year ago, a young dingo was murdered for her beliefs. The murderer was never punished. One year later, the killer seeks a new target…

Dingo is a kind-hearted but bitter canine living in a brutal society in a merciless desert. Hated and tortured by his brother and the cruel dingoes that control his pack, Dingo’s only thought is of survival. Yet memories of his slain sister plague him as he desperately tries to stay alive.

While Dingo tries to overcome the cruelty in the desert, Saderia faces her own problems at home in the forest. When a new foe begins terrorizing the forest, she and Dash must face the fact that their only hope for survival may mean leaving the forest. Forever. Faced with a choice between life and death, Saderia and Dash embark on a life-changing journey to save the kingdom.

With miles of unforgiving desert to cross, Saderia must be strong. But when she and Dash wind up lost, who will save them? As Dingo struggles to escape the cruelty of his brother, Saderia and Dash struggle to survive. When the three animals cross paths, no one is sure what to think.

In the end, Saderia must fight her way home, while Dingo must decide which is more important—saving the tiger that reminds him so much of his sister…or his own survival?

5.0 out of 5 stars The important lesson of integrity. February 13, 2012
Format:Paperback
In the third instalment of Saderia Series the reader is introduced to two new characters. Dingo and Bone are dingoes living in the pack in the desert just right outside the forest.
Dingo and Bone are brothers but aren't much alike. Bone is rough, violent and a bully. Dingo is "different", more sensitive, he sees what the dingoes are about and refuses to be like the rest of them. For that he is tormented by Bone and his mates.

Saderia, Dahs (who has managed to settle into his new home perfectly well) and her family as well as the rest of the forest animals are faced with a huge danger.
The hunters start their neverending hunt in Saderia's beloved forest. At first the animals decide to stay. However the situation deteriorates so much that they make a collective decision to leave the forest behind and look for new home.

To find the new home the forest animals have to cross the desert, which is guarded by the pack of dingoes. The journey is dangerous, long and full of unexpected turns of action. Once again the book is a fantastic example for kids to show them courage and self-belief.

"Hunted Home" also strongly stands against the bullying and ganging up on people only because they are different.

I would recommend the book to parents, children and educators for teaching the important lesson of integrity.

5.0 out of 5 stars A non-stop adventure story for middle-grade readers! October 1, 2011
Format:Paperback
At the start, it seems that life is good for the royal family. They have gotten through a rough time and Dash is now one of them. He and Saderia - brother and sister as well as best friends - are in school and the family is content. But things soon take a dark turn for Saderia, her family and friends - for all of the animals of the forest, in fact. In 'Hunted Home', book three of the Saderia Series, all are on the move, leaving behind the only home they have ever known. Why? What unseen danger is driving them out? The animals must decide which is worse - the known or unknown that they fear. What lies beyond the forest, anyway?

The desert. The story introduces Tiger Princess readers to the cruel desert life of a pack of dingoes For these characters, life is all about survival, survival of the fittest, and with that kind of life comes cruelty, pain and violence. There is no room for being different, having original thoughts or going against the grain in any way in a dingo pack. Dingo is different - and his life has always been hard because of that difference. He has been and is always fighting for his life, waiting for his own cruel end, ever tormented by his brother Bone, who is, unfortunately, in a position of power within the pack. Add to that the lingering pain of losing his sister a year ago. Claw was different too - and then she was dead. Because of being different? Maybe. Dingo is starting to think possibly that that is so.

Saderia's Dreams are at work again and, along with twists of fate, lead her and Dash to cross paths with the cruel dingo named Bone - but also with Dingo who, lucky for them, feels compelled to help. Amidst violence and fear, there is also friendship and caring - and therefore - hope.

Another non-stop adventure by Sara Renee!
