Great looks and sturdy construction,

We picked this fan for its looks. We are rebuilding an 1868 victorian and every piece we select has to fit two criteria: fit the spirit of the rehab and be unusual. This product, with its two blades and spherical, rotating motor housing certainly met the criteria. The great surprise is how well built it is. The unit weighs at least 20 lbs due to its cast iron structure, which affords it great stability. It feels like it will still be around in 150 years... It's also very smooth and quiet. The instructions could be a little clearer but with a little thinking, it was easy to assemble in about 20 minutes.

Bought this fan after scouring the internet and catalogs for something unique for our Craftsman style home. Assembly was fine, but it's heavy- the ball pendant weighs a bit. I suggest 2 people for safe assembly.
The fan with just 2 blades is visually appealing. Does not blow wind that strongly, even on the highest setting, so if you're looking for something that will literally 'blow you away', this may fall a little short. However, it's great for the bedroom or other place that just needs some air circulation. All in all, a great purchase and a strong feature in our master bedroom. Amazon had the cheapest price when we purchased it.
