I like this fan because it blends in with the ceiling and doesn't look like a big ugly ceiling fan with stupid looking ugly lights on it. No "fake" wooden blades. No ugly brass. It's about as "simple" as you can get, quiet as it could possibly be, and inexpensive. It is my opinion that ceiling fans should be "felt" and not seen or heard!
We put this in a guest bedroom and it replaced a hideous looking LOUD "Hampton Bay" from Home Depot that was quite frankly shameful. lol
My husband did not understand why I chose no lights on it until it was installed and he could see how much nicer the room looked just with lamp lighting and no ugly fan lights.

Replaced an older fan which was noisy and didn't move much air unless set to the highest speed (where it added vibration to the noise). The new Hunter is silent (all you can hear is the blades moving the air) and is totally vibration free without installing the balancing kit.

We bought two of these for our office and they are simply attractive, run so quietly we forget it's on, and move the air quite well on three speeds. Although not mentioned anywhere in the literature, they are wired to accept a light kit. We purchased a Hunter light kit for one of the fans, and it works perfectly.

Replace our son's fan with this new one and he loves it because it is quiet and doesn't keep him up. He has a large room so the larger blades help keep the room cool.

We purchased and installed two identical ceiling-hugger fans made for Hunter to replace two fans we had from a different manufacturer because the Hunter fans are guaranteed not to wobble, are guaranteed for life, and are advertised as providing "whisper-quiet performance". Further, Hunter's e-literature states that they have "perfect balance self-adjusting blades", and that their fans are 90% pre-assembled and thus are "5 Minute fan[s]".

When the high speed is on you hear the whir of rapidly moving air, while the medium speed is indeed "whisper-quiet", and the low speed is silent.

Fan operates very quietly and looks great. I agree with other reviewer(s) that parts of the installation guide are unclear, particularly the steps about mounting the bracket to your ceiling. Based on your ceiling and home builder the steps may not apply and leave you to your own determinations. If you've previously installed a ceiling fan in your home then you may not have any difficulty.

Although a little frustrating, it wasn't too difficult to overcome the installation guide and I'm very happy with the result. The fan looks and performs great.

I had always heard Hunter fans were the quietest but didn't believe there could be that much of a difference between brands - I was wrong. This fan makes absolutely no noise. We installed this fan in a bedroom so we wanted to make sure it was as quiet as possible and this one did the job. I expect other Hunter fans are the same way.

I love this fan! We have a tri-level home, so I really needed a fan that did not sit too low from the ceiling. This one is great! We have a swap cooler (no AC) and this cools down the room significantly! My only complaint is that it is not white like it says. It is more of an off-white.

I've bought Hunter fans for years and have never been disappointed. Good product -- good service!

The Hunter Ceiling fan we ordered on Amazon is very quiet, good enough looking, and satisfactory all round.
