I had looked and looked at big box stores for the right fan but could not find what I wanted. This fan is perfect. Very, very quiet and perfect decor for my newly remodeled kitchen. Delivery was fast and efficient. Would recommend highly.

I was concerned about the height of the fan from ceiling to bottom of the light because I have low ceilings. The description of the fan on Amazon does not give the size specs (which would be VERY helpful), so I went online and looked at the fan on the Hunter website. The specs there are ALL WRONG. The fan is at least 19 inches from ceiling to bottom of the light (flush mount) according to the box it came in. The Hunter website says 7.49 inches, which I knew was wrong, so I took the largest height from their website and ordered the fan from Amazon. I had to return it--at 19 inches it would decapitate a person. Just beware of the measurements on the Hunter website--many of the fans I looked at had inaccurate measurements. Amazon did nothing wrong, except the packaging could have been better. Only one strip of tape closed each of the bottom and the top of the box. My bad for believing Hunter.

Great fan but I wish there was a molding ring to better cover where the fan meets the ceiling. Assembly was fairly easy for a fan of its price range. The fan smelled a little weird after the first few weeks days of installation, but that eventually went away.

I've had this ceiling fan since 2008. I purchased it because of the coloring, unique light kit, and the flush-mount style. Highly recommended - I looked at *every* ceiling fan out there and this was the only one for me!

Pros:
Unique style - I've gotten so many complements on this ceiling fan (and I'm pretty sure I've never heard or given a complement on a fan light fixture before). It's the perfect fit for my kitchen.
Easy to install - I put it up myself in under an hour.
Pretty quiet - I don't even notice the fan when it's on, but it moves a fair amount of air.
Reversible blades for either a cherry or walnut look (which is really coming in handy as I'm redoing my kitchen and will just be switching the blade color instead of buying a new fixture).

Cons:
Not energy-star rated.
Bulbs are very visible given the design of the light kit. I opted to use the candelabra bulb style CFL bulbs (so it's more energy efficient but you don't have to look at those ugly coiled lights). They only come in 40-watt equivalent, but it's bright enough when the bulbs "warm up". This fan does not use standard base bulbs but requires the candelabra base bulbs.

This is a great low profile ceiling fan with the quiet operation we expected from Hunter.

Had one of these in my living room when I moved in. I don't know how old it is, but its always run quiet and really throws the air down. Not fond of the light kit though. But the fan itself is more so 9" from the ceiling to blade and is discontinued. Go figure.

This is a great fan. The color is deep and rich. I have it in my family room. Would definitely buy another.
