Very happy with purchase,

We purchased this fan for our living room which has a high vaulted ceiling. We did purchase a 48" downrod at a local store. Other than our difficulties installing this 14ft in the air with two of us on ladders, the installation was very easy. Once we got it up, it did not need balancing. The lights are not super bright but that it what I was wanting. I didn't want bulbs pointing down so this fan was just perfect for us. It is very quiet and we actually are leaving it at medium speed because the high speed is very fast. Overall this was a great purchase and we couldn't be more pleased with the Amazon price and the fast shipping!

not exactly what it seems,

I liked the look and its cooling but its mostly the Vaulted ceiling install I was not satisfied with this fan. A flat ceiling with just the small 6 inch downrod supplied is the easiest method and would get 5 stars.
Things not mentioned. Fan uses candelabra bulbs, downrod is 1 inch diameter, and install is designed for wood (vaulted ceilings should have lower ceiling to higher ceiling as the direction of the beams). I preformed the vaulted ceiling install with a 2 foot downrod because of the longer light kit 3 foot just seemed too low. My support beams were sidways but I did not know that until after I took down my old fan and finding a 1 inch downrod was very hard. I was not able to find any conversion kits or adapters that would work with 1 inch. The only 1 inch downrod I found available came unthreaded. Overall the install took me three weeks adapting the fan to fit and look professional and not something that looks like it is about to fall. I've done fan installs before some without any fixtures to mount a fan but this install has been the hardest. Final note. My 2 foot downrod was grinded down to fit then threaded using a 1 inch die NF14. Not something I would suggest is for everyone but I felt determined to get this to work.

I bought this fan for my bedroom and could not be more pleased. I was leery about buying a fan sight unseen, but after going to Lowes and Home Depot about 15 times to look at fans I decided to take a chance and order this one. This one is so much better looking than the low end stuff they have at the home improvement stores. It looks rich and like it cost a fortune, but didn't. It also works better than the $200 one I bought a Home Depot for my living room. I also really like the light fixture. It makes the fan.

Fan looks good and was easy to install. Blades are not very large and it seems to push less air than my previous fan. By far the worst thing about this fan is the light. The light is so dim. I put this fan in my bedroom and I can barely tell the difference between black socks and brown socks. The light bulbs are the maximum size recommended for it.

This fan is very effective. At the highest speed it's quiet and very powerful. The biggest problem I have with it is balancing the blades so that it doesn't vibrate at the highest speed. The process of balancing the blades is very tedious. We have two other fans (Hampton Bay and Harbor Breeze) and we didn't have to balance those. At the highest speed those two fans are very smooth, especially the Hampton Bay one). The other thing that bothered me is they left out a step to install the canopy trim ring. That part covers the top of the canopy so that you don't see the screws and make the top part look curvy and nicer. We didn't realize that there was a missing step until it was too late. It's a lot of work to go back and remove the whole fan in order to get the ring in. You need two people to install any ceiling fan because they're kinda heavy and your arms get tired while trying to fit the screws in.

Beautiful Fan, Slight wobble,

Ordered and installed this fan with no problems. It does have a slight wobble at the highest fan speed, but I haven't taken the time balance the blades with the provided kit, so we leave it on low or medium most of the time. The 40W bulbs are a little dim, but overall, this is a great fan. We thought we got a steal at $95 - wish we had held out till it was down to $77!

Noisy hum Hunter Fan,

The Hunter name is usually a sign of good workmanship and quality. We paid someone to install this fan and found it had an annoying hum to it when it was turned on. So we thought it was a defect, returned it and painfully re-installed another one. It also has the annoying humming sound!!!! It looks good..but that's not the point.
Useless you plan on installing it in a noisy room where no one will notice - don't buy it.

This fan looks great in our bedroom. Much fancier looking than many others out there. It's heavy; all the metal parts are actually metal, not painted plastic. It was a pain to assemble. My husband huffed and puffed, but did it, and it looks good.

We bought this fan for our 3rd floor office. It is very attractive and the quality is excellent. We liked that the light bulbs aren't 'showing' and face upwards. We paid under $100 for this and thought that was a good value for the size of the fan and the finish. Worth the money at this price.

Love this fan. The uplights and the fan blades make kind of a weird shadow on the ceiling and the fan is hard to balance. I'm still happy with it though.
