Not hard to install, but when done noticed that too much of the light fixture was sticking out above the glass globe. This is very unattractive. Bought 2 of them, am returning one. Will try to make the threaded pipe shorter so that the glass globe will fit closer to the motor and cover where the chain comes out. I have several Hunter fans and this is the first bad experience.
Also, description does NOT state that the 60 watt bulbs are candelabra bases.

Bought this for my son's room. Works fine. Nothing fancy. Only negative is that the blades are plastic & i was hoping for wood.
