My husband and I put this fan in my son's room because we gave his room a sports theme. Looked amazing and I was in love with it. However, his room is the hottest in the house (and we live in Houston), and the fan hardly put out ANY air. The baseball bats/fan blades aren't angled at all, so I assume this is part of the problem. The poor little guy was melting in his room, so we had to buy a different fan (which worked wonders, by the way). Very disappointing!

WE OWN ONE OF THESE FANS, WE BOUGHT IT FOR OUR SON WHICH IS A BIG FAN OF BASEBALL AND WE HAVE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH IT IN THE 3 PLUS YEARS THAT WE HAVE HAD IT. IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THE FAN COULD CAUSE DAMAGE IF IT IS NOT INSTALLED CORRECTLY. OTHER THAN THAT IT OPERATES AND IS A WELL MADE CEILING FAN. OF COURSE, ANY FAN YOU BUY, IF IT IS NOT INSTALLED PROPERLY YOU WILL HAVE PROBLEMS. THE CEILING FAN IS MADE BY HUNTER AND ALL OF THEIR CEILING FAN PRODUCTS HAVE A LIFETIME WARRANTY. ANYWAYS I JUST WANT TO LET IT BE KNOWN THAT IT IS A GREAT CEILING FAN.

This fan fell down on top of my son after it was up for over a year. While it was on the fan itself seperated from the base. I have contacted the consumer safety commission and they are investigating the fan's safety. The weight of this fan could have killed a small child.

This is the most adorable fan, however, we have been so disappointed. The first one we bought had a light kit that did not work (the fan would come on and work, however, the light would not turn on; and no, it wasn't just a bad lightbulb). Hunter gave us great customer service and sent us another fan at no charge, however, we found that with this fan, it smoked whenever it was placed on high speed. Very concerning considering that it is in the room of my three-year old son. This is the first negative experience that we have ever had with Hunter (and we have had MANY Hunter fans over the years). Perhaps it is just this model. Needless to say, we will be returning this fan and will look for other lighting/fan options.

This ceiling fan not only looks great, but it is very good quality. I already knew Hunter made really nice ceiling fans. So when my son was designing his new bedroom with a baseball theme, this fan was perfect!!
It is easy to put together and install. It comes with a CFL light bulb. Also you have your choice of brown wooden bats or silver aluminum bats for the fan blades. The fan is quiet, which is a plus.

This ceiling fan is perfect in my son's room. The room is a baseball theme. We chose not to use the decal "homeplate" on the ceiling. The fan was easy to put together and install. It is quiet running on high. The only downside is the chains to pull on the light and change fan speed are really short, so we needed fan pulls to reach.

This fan is PERFECT in my son's baseball themed room! I absolutely love it and so does he. He is 10 so I was afraid it might be a little babyish but I was wrong. He thinks it's the "coolest" fan ever!

I bought this for my grandson's bedroom and he loves it. My daughter and I assembled and installed it. Some reviews complained about a scraping noise when the fan was used and dificulty assembling. We did not have those problems. The fan is shipped with little plastic blocks to stabilize the motor during shipping. I wonder if people didn't remove them before attaching the fan blades. Not removing them would cause both problems!
I was not happy with the pull chains as there were no extensions included so they are very short. Perhaps it is a how they get you to buy the baseball ones that are sold separately! So far that seems to be the only negative.

My fan didn't come from Amazon, it came from Lowes. I had just moved at the age of 8 into a new home and a new bedroom in 2002. My room had a low quality light and I wanted a ceiling fan. For years I always had an eye for the baseball fan as a young child, so it was my choice. My grandfather installed it and it was flawless. As any mischievous child, I tied action figures to the blades and watched them spin around and around. The fan took alot of abuse. Fast forward eight years. It's 2010 now, that fan still hangs above my room. Usually when it's on medium speed, it rattles and makes sound. It's dusty and worn, the pull chain doesn't always work, but it's still in good shape. It has served me eight long years and probably could serve eight more provided it isn't abused. I read other reviews that say this fan has errors. I believe it is user error in installation, maybe. All I can say is if you aren't sure you can do it, get a professional.

We have used this fan in our boys room for over a year and they love it. It really adds to the sports/baseball theme. Not sure why others have had problems.
