This review is from: Hunter 23298 Ranier 2-Light 60-Inch Five-Blade Ceiling Fan with Frosted Globe, Amber Bronze (Tools & Home Improvement)
This fan is beautiful and functional. This fan is very heavy so make sure your location can stand substantial weight bearing. Very easy to install.

This review is from: Hunter 23298 Ranier 2-Light 60-Inch Five-Blade Ceiling Fan with Frosted Globe, Amber Bronze (Tools & Home Improvement)
This is a hidden gem of a fan. I did read all I can about this fan but did not know that this fan has an auto dimmer usefull for when exiting a room. The dimmer can be used as a regular dimmer as well. There are two dimmers one for the top and one for the bottom. It also comes with a remote for the fan which was not fully decribed on the product description at amazon and Hunter website. When I recieved this fan I was able to put it together easily BUT did not use their two 3 inch screws. I had gotten my own that have a stronger head for the screw driver slot and was hexogonal for use of any socket tools. Their screws as soon as I used it and I slipped once it easily chipped/stripped away. I could not get to screw it in completely without a good grip and this is why I replaced it. If they at Hunter would actually put good descriptions on all their products they would probably sell more. I suggest reading the product manual to learn about the full features instead of the product brochures. This amazing fan does not wobble like the other Hunter fans like the 5 minute fan. I have one and believe me it takes alot longer than 5 minutes and it wobbles alot too. This one does not budge. I am buying another one for my bedroom.

Beautiful addition to your ceiling,

This review is from: Hunter 23298 Ranier 2-Light 60-Inch Five-Blade Ceiling Fan with Frosted Globe, Amber Bronze (Tools & Home Improvement)
This lamp looks great and works well. Upper bulbs shine onto your ceiling, providing extra, diffuse lighting for your room. Combined with the lower bulbs, this lamp puts out a lot of light. The remote allows dimming and on/off control of both upper and lower lighting separately, in addition to controlling fan direction and speed.
The assembly is fairly straightforward, just take your time. The instruction manual is actually written to cover multiple models, so some of the steps include details that don't apply. That didn't cause too much trouble, because the illustrations help out. DON'T make the mistake I did and miss putting the top globe on. There are glass globes for both the lower lights AND the upper lights. The upper globe must go on before screwing on the uprod's ceiling support ring. The instruction manual does have this correct, I just missed it when reading through. Anyway, it's a great lamp and fan, and the styling details are well done without being too gaudy or overbearing. You'll be happy with it.
