Hunter Fam - The Studio Series - 52" Model 25587 in New Bronze,

Love the fan. It is a good quality fan - hence, Hunter. It's classic, not over-styled with decorative details. We wanted simple and elegant - this fan is that. The New Bronze finish works well with our oil rubbed bronze finishes and the cherry/walnut option on the blades is perfect. We have knotty alder (stained dark) trim and we wanted blades that were dark w/out a red tone to them so this worked. Very pleased with the product.

Very nice fans,

We got 2 of these for our home to replace 2 older hunter fans (just for style, not because there was anything wrong with the other ones). They are beautiful and quiet, very satisfactory. Also, they arrived quickly.

I'm sure Hunter makes good fans and this may even be one. I never got around to installing it though because unlike what the description states this fan uses the new standard for ceiling fans of candelabra light bulbs. I had ordered this solely because the description indicated medium base bulbs could be used and I have returned the fan.

This is the first Hunter ceiling fan I have had. It is a nice looking fan and runs smooth and quiet. I needed help when fastening the motor assembly to the ceiling plate because of the weight but other than that the installation was very easy. I too was disappointed that the bulbs were not regular size and the filaments of 3 of the 4 bulbs that were sent with the fan were broken. I had to purchase replacements at a local store.
I have just purchased another one of these fans and I am awaiting shipment.

I bought two of these fans for my dining and living room areas. Easy to install, the hardest part was fitting the lighting fixture to the main body, as it's jam-packed with wires. Looks nice, fan is quiet. After about a month, however, I realized one of the bulbs in the living room unit had burned out. Figuring it was a dud bulb, I decided to replace them all with CFLs for long-term energy savings. However, after doing this, all the bulbs would flicker and flash. I discovered that unscrewing one bulb reduced the problem, but they still occasionally would flash. The dining room unit burned out two incandescent bulbs after being installed for less than 4 months. The issue is that Hunter chose the cheap route to meet current federal energy consumption requirements for fans. Instead of packaging them with CFL bulbs, they installed a wattage regulator. This regulator acts like much like a dimmer switch, with which, as many of us know, normal CFLs are not compatible. I am 99% sure that these regulators are the cause of the incandescent bulbs burning out prematurely, either due to bad spec'ing or poor manufacturing, as the wiring to both fans is brand new. There is a way to bypass this problem, as I have done (look up "Hunter fan lights blink" or "Hunter fan part 98480-02"), but this would not be necessary if Hunter had chosen to include four 9-watt CFLs rather than four 40-watt incandescents with a wattage governor. This would be a great product if they had thought ahead instead of trying to save a dollars, perhaps even cents.

This is my 4th Hunter fan. I bought it to replace one that was 20 years old. There was nothing wrong with the old one; it just didn't match our decor anymore. This fan is beautiful and quiet. I recently bought a Hampton Bay fan for another room and you can hear the motor hum even on low speed. The Hunter fan doesn't hum and we didn't have to balance it. It's perfect. It's heavier than the Hampton Bay and was a little more difficult to assemble. That was probably due to the fact that we bought a universal remote to use with it. For the Hampton Bay, we just use the pull chains. I recommend this fan and light kit.

Can't beat the price or the quality. It was a easy install. The fan looks like it cost double of what I paid. My wife and I are extremely pleased with this purchase and would highly recommend it.
