This review is from: Hunter Fan 28484 60-Inch Fellini Ceiling Fan, Cocoa (Tools & Home Improvement)
This ceiling fan is gorgeous. It is excellent quality, very quiet--forget that it is on. My husband was leary about ordering online w/o actually seeing it, but the other reviews were right on. It is as advertised. My husband installed it himself.

Liked this fan enough to buy another for a different room. Prior reviewer complained about not attaching a light kit. You can use a light kit, just buy a hunter light kit such as: Hunter H28128 4-Light Cocoa Light Fitter. The kit completely replaces the housing on the bottom and looks like it was part of the fan originally. Super quiet operation, I didn't even have to balance it.

We purchased the Hunter Fellini fan last fall. It is attractive, but agree with the previous reviewer that Hunter could have spent a little more on the blade finish. You do have to be very careful not to scratch the blades.
Our main objection, however, is that this fan is ONLY operable by remote control . We have had major issues with the fan turning on on its own. In the beginning, it was a daily occurrence. Despite changing the codes several times, it still comes on. We have pursued trying to see if we could change it to a pull chain, but the Hunter rep said this was not an option. Their advice is to just keep changing the codes (there are 14 combinations I think!). This is time consuming and a pain in the neck - you have to turn the power off to the fan, remove the battery from the remote, disassemble the fan.We also had one of the plastic jumpers break, and Hunter would not replace it as it isn't a stocked item. Lastly, the remote does not work well. It often requires multiple attempts to get the fan to respond. We have been longtime fans of the Hunter brand (no pun intended), but this fan is not up to snuff.
