This is a current QuietFlo model and is all digital. Good filter system and a fairly quiet low speed. For the first 2-3 weeks, it gave off a slight plastic-type smell...I don't know if it was the charcoal pre-filter or the plastic housing. This odor is diminishing with time. I would buy another.

I am very happy with this HEPA filter. I have it in a bedroom which is slightly larger than the recommended size but it still gets rid of all the dust. I run it on low all the time and it is just enough white noise that it is not a problem for sleeping. Medium and high are somewhat loud, but the low setting makes a huge difference in air quality so low is all that is needed. It did have a slight plastic or carbon type smell but that went away after a week. Filters are a little bit expensive but it is worth it when you see all the dust it catches on the carbon pre filter and I think I sleep better now. This is the best air purifier I have owned out of 3 tries with other brands.

This air porifier is a good one .I like the fact that it tells you when the filters need change.the only thing I do not agree with is it being quiet flow. Even on the lowest setting the fan is somewhat loud. This does not bother me because I like some noise to sleep I cannot sleep in a completly quit room. I thikk it is a very good air purifier.

This air purifier works great. It is perfect for the recommended room size, You can tell the difference and it's quiet.It has basically one control and thats the fan speed 1,2 or 3. This air purifier is still working great after 2 years of almost constant use.

The unit works great when it operates properly. After 10 months of use the unit began to produce a burning smell. I contacted Hunter and they are going to replace the unit. This incident makes the quality of Hunter products highly suspect.

I used this product for several months and when it came time to change the pre-filter, guess what? The HEPA filter was missing. The box had extra tape on it but I never suspected the filter had been removed. This came from Amazon LLC, not some other vendor. I'll post an update once Amazon has had a chance to do the right thing. For now, check the unit as soon as you get it, it may be missing a very important and expensive item....

UPDATE: Amazon Customer Service got back to me very promptly and offered a partial refund or a return for credit option. I choose to return it because the partial refund would not cover the cost of buying a replacement filter. They did not offer a replacement unit because they no longer carry this product.

As to function, the product works well and is quiet on the lowest fan speed. In the bedroom it has to be turned down when you're sleeping. I run it several hours at high fan speed, then turn it down when I'm ready to sleep. I have a second unit that runs full time on low speed in another room. This had had a positive effect on my quality of sleep due to allergies.

This product works great for our application. Have two of them. Had a small electrical problem(my fault) fried them both, but we have replaced them again. Do wish the filters were a little less expensive though.

3 speeds but don't expect to have a conversation or listen to the TV on anything but the lowest speed .. the good news is that the noise stopped suddenly, just about a year after purchasing the product (of course it doesn't work anymore either). To be fair, I can't find the model number on my unit but it looks pretty much like this one. If not, maybe an earlier version but they also sound the same based on the description.
