The directions are very clear and easy to follow, covering all the possible scenarios. When I finished installing this fan and a new switch, I turned it on and ... nothing. I thought I'd done something wrong with the wiring until I looked closely and saw the fan spinning. It is that quiet. When I put the flex duct on the output there is now the noise of the air in the duct, but it is still very quiet and can barely be heard outside the bathroom. I think if I used a rigid duct or a larger diameter duct, that noise could be minimized.

It works. My contractor had put it in, and I thought it was not hooked up, until I detected just the faintest whisper of sound from it. Works as advertised and is ultra-quiet.

Great fan, it is quiet and works well to get rid of the steam. Also, very happy to have an energy efficient fan!

The fan is very quiet and built extremely well. I replaced an existing fan that was approximately 30 years old. Installation was a bit of a challenge and the Hunter has a 4 inch duct which I had to transition to my 3 inch existing duct. Aside from that, the rest of the installation was easy enough. I would definitely recommend this product and have since purchased another Hunter fan. As far as reliability, I've had it installed about 6 weeks and have had no problems with it.
