Wonderful lesson,
By Mother Sunshine (Big Island, United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Hunter and the Animals: A Wordless Picture Book (Paperback)
I just "read" this book to a 1st grade class as part of a lesson on bringing your own words to text (writing your own story using the pictures in wordless books). The children were captivated throughout and very pleased (relieved) with the ending (lots of gasps). The hunter learns a lesson to be friends with the animals rather than kill them as planned. A very gentle book with a powerful message. I'm adding this one to my library as soon as they (hopefully) reproduce it.
