Nice fan,

I have this fan and I like it alot. It is quiet, puts out quite a bit of air, and is very atractive. It does not put out much light however, more like a glow because the art glass does not allow light to shine through. Also because the glass is gold, the light is very yellow which I don't find very pleasing, especially when it is set at it's brightest. It's OK when set dim. All-in-all, I am happy with it since I have other lighting options in the room.

My husband and I bought this fan for our mission style bedroom. It was heavy and just like other quality ceiling fans, labor intensive to hang ourselves (make sure you have someone to help you hang it). It has been a beautiful addition to our master suite. While giving tours of our home, people often give compliments about how beautiful it is. The best part about this fan, is the soft amber light that it shines at night. Perfect for lighting that hangs above a bed. We enjoy the multiple fan settings and quiet motor. The hardware is dark chocolate brown (almost black)and the blades can be installed in two different wood stained tones.

Can't judge a fan by its cover,

I bought this from another company for $200 and change. But money is not the object. Function and design are. I purchased this for a bedroom. I was fooled by the look and regret my purchase. The light is completely inadequate. It takes two sixty watt, candelabra based bulbs, which, through heavy yellow plastic allows very little light. The two other problems I have with this fan are the bulbs are VERY difficult to change out (the light cover, 'down fixture' is not completely removable once installed, so one must hold it whilst changing bulbs, and it is heavy, and in the process it will interfere with functions controlled by the chains and a small down rod (controlling direction) because these get jostled while holding the fixture. There is no way around this. The chains and the down rod by design hold the light cover hostage. Moreover, the installation itself is brutal, even for a pro (about $200 to have this done and took my licensed electrician almost two hours.) And, to add insult to injury, the motor is noisy. It awakens me form my sleep. Getting the final tight enough to contain the rattles of the faux glass, helps but is not fool proof, the objectionable motor sound is beyond my skill level to comment on. Conclusion: Another made in China rip off. Not recommended. Oh. And if you happen to live in a dusty area as I do, the design is a nightmare to keep clean because of the way the 'glass' (plastic) light cover is incorporated into the fan design and cannot, CANNOT separate or be accessible. The designer should be have his job out sourced.
