I purchased and installed this fan in May of 2011 as a replacement for an old fixture in my new home.
SUMMARY Fan looks great. Installation was average for ceiling fans. Fan runs very quiet. Light level is weak. INSTALLATION Having installed several ceiling fans before, this one offered a typical level of difficulty and did not have any surprises. The instructions supplied with the kit were adequate in the level of detail and the pictures included. As with many fans made by Hunter, they include some extra screws and/or grommets. I consider this an advantage...but if you aren't aware they are extra, I could understand someone's frustration thinking they failed to use all the appropriate parts. NOISE LEVEL This fan is extremely quiet. I was pleasantly surprised by how quietly it runs, even on high. LIGHTING LEVEL This was my only area of disappointment for this product. The lighting assembly only has two small 60w bulbs. The light level in my living room is not bright enough for my liking. Additionally, the two bulbs create an odd shadow on the ceiling above the fan due to their placement. SPEED/VOLUME I replaced an existing 52" fan with this 60" fan. While I have no firm evidence, it just seems like the low and medium settings might not be as effective as a smaller fan. However, this could just be my mind playing tricks on me due to the difference blade length. I'll also note the high setting seems to be as effective as I expected it to be.

Very Quiet, Easy to Install,

Installation of this fan was simple and "no" balancing of blades was required even though balancing tools were included if needed. Although there is wind noise at the highest speed, the motor of this Hunter fan is very very quiet, even at the lowest speeds (The motor of my previous fan emitted an annoying buzzing noise at the lowest speed and this is the primary reason I replaced it). The 60 inch blades push a nice volume of air even at the lowest speed setting. Because this fan only has two Candelabra light fixtures, I was concerned that it wouldn't provide enough light for my great room and that I wouldn't be able to use compact florescent bulbs. However, I was able to find compact florescent bulbs that fit the Candelabra light fixtures. These two bulbs provide just the right amount of light, ..not to bright, not to dim. The bowl for the light fixture disperses the light nicely to provide a pleasant light throughout the room and I find this to be far superior than fixtures where the bulb is exposed.
I'm pleased with every aspect of this ceiling fan and I highly recommend it.

Both fans arrived in excellent conditon. Fans have seen limited use so far, but seem to be operating as expected. The only anomaly so far is that one fan appears to operate at a slightly different speed from the other fan. Both fans are connected to the same variable speed control, so both fans should operate at the same speed. But it appears that one fan spins faster than the other fan. When shut off, one fan takes longer to coast to stand still than the other fan. Other than the speed differences, the Hunter Grant Park is an excellent looking fan and works nicely.

Nice fan, doesn't make any noses. The only thing I don't like about it is the light cover it has brown spots as a design all over it. In the picture it just appears as an off-white opaque light cover.

Was so excited that I got do take out the little fan that looked goofy in our over-sized living room. Easyish to install. Ran into a couple problems, but might have been cause I was tired when I was doing it. After I finished wife and I thought it looked much better then the previous fan...then turned the lights on and ugh. The 2 candelabra bulbs are weak. Purchased new energy efficient spiral bulbs that promised more lumens, but they didn't work for some reason. Back to the original bulbs and will have to deal with the dim lighting. This would have been a great purchase, but low light killed it.

Needed a fan for our new home's living room. Its not as big as I hoped, so I might move it to another room.Regardless, there are a few issues. 1) It doesn't feel like it moves a lot of air. Maybe because it's too small for the room, I'm not sure. 2) One of the screws used to mount a blade on the motor was horribly cross threaded. It made me quite upset that I had gotten 85% don't with the install and then found that. I had to take it all down, but before giving up, I channeled my inner cro-magnon repair skills, and forced the screw in. 3) The light bowl doesn't cast a ton of light. It works for a nice illumination of the room, but its almost not enough to read by. I can definitely see my mother complaining if she wants to read a book in that room. 4) The light bowl is kind of ugly. Totally subjective complaint, but there it is. I like the look of the fan otherwise.

They are very difficult to connect as the chains go through a difficult process to be able to install. After installing they are almost impossible to pull. It's like you have to buy the remote to use them. Once they were installed they were missing one of the pull chains.

while the fan is quite, attractive, and realitively easy to install; for its size does not move alot of air and must be on high to have any real effect.

We are very happy with the 60 inch Hunter fan. It is in our family room. It looks great and is very quiet when running. This is our fourth Hunter fan and we would recommend buying them to everyone. They are easy to assemble. This size fan dropped down far enough that we didn't need an extension pole on our 9 foot ceiling.
