This is the same filter that came with the unit from the Factory and brought new life to an older humidifier of mine. They install easily, last a long time and are sturdy metal with silver coating (I believe) which is for anti-bacterial / microbial filtering.

After several years of service, the filter element in my Hunter humidifier became rather nasty, plus I'm sure it wasn't as effective as when it was new, due to the accumulation of crud from hard water. The new one fit perfectly, and seems to do exactly what it's supposed to do. When this one reaches its end-of-service, I'll buy another, if they're still available.

I run the humidifier all winter to keep my acoustic guitars at the proper humidity.

The Hunter Humidifier Replacement filter was easy to install and has worked as well as the original. I purchased two filters so I'm ready when this one goes bad. I won't have to delay the replacement like I did the first time. 31943 Hunter Humidifier Replacement Filter

This filter was exactly what I needed to replace the one I'd been using for 3+ years.

It was as described. This item is very hard to find in the home or hardware stores and best bought online. I would suggest buying more than one and storing the other until needed.

I made sure the model number on my humidifier matched with this replacement filter. Once it arrived I popped the old one out and put this one in. Fits perfect and is working great.

This was just the right replacement for my humidifier filter, which was never going to need replacement according to the product literature. :-)

When the mineral buildup got too heavy on my original filter, I tried soaking it in a tub of vinegar and scrubbing it with a toothbrush. Only some of the crusty stuff came off. What's more, with all of the scrubbing I accidentally tore a few pieces of the metal weave, which left sharp edges poking out.

So I looked on-line to see if I could buy a replacement - and here it was. I was a little surprised that it didn't come in a plastic frame, but it was pretty easy to snap the frame off the old one.

Thank goodness there are still some appliances that you can maintain with new parts instead of having to take the whole thing to the dump when trouble strikes.

Couldn't find this anywhere but here. The price and shipping seemed fair. The product shipped quickly and fit my humidifier to the t.

We have a Hunter Carefree Humidifier Plus and needed a replacement filter for the unit this year. Difficult to find information regarding the proper size/model filter for the unit, but we opted for the Hunter H3943 Permawick and hoped for the best.

Placed the order two days ago, and it arrived at 9:30am today - standard shipping! Opened the bag, installed the filter, turned the unit on by 9:45am, and we're rolling merrily along.

Quick, easy, no problems. Thank you for the prompt, reliable service. :)

For a product that says the filter doesn't need to be replaced?...hmmm. Worth having in case the original really does go bad.
