Great looking fan, difficult install, fell from ceiling and broke after 1 year,

I really like the looks and functionality/features of this fan. The install was pretty difficult due to the size of the fan though. I believed that every thing was installed correctly when I did it, but after about a year the fan fell from the ceiling and broke when it hit the ground. One of the lock screws had worked itself loose. There was no way of noticing this without taking the fan apart however so I'm not sure if it was preventable at all. I've heard several other people complain about their fan falling as well so if you do get it, be sure to triple check all of the screws.

We purchased this fan 2 1/2 years ago and had no problem with it until tonight. The fan fell right off the ceiling from the middle. The arm that holds the fan to the ceiling unsrewed some how and fell right off. We are lucky our kids weren't sitting there at the time. I suggest buying a better fan that will stay up.
