The modern chrome-finish design reinterprets a classic swing arm lamp with a slender, square support pole that rises from a rectangular base and turns at a crisp right angle to hold a short pivot extension. The large, cream-colored drum shade softens the sharp geometry with its simple curve and emits plenty of gentle, glare-free illumination. To change from mood to task lighting, simply flip the handy "high/low" rocker switch. I was impressed with the design, but once assembled (later on that), it was ugly. The design remained intact--stunning--,but the chrome finish was badly marred in areas. The lamp leaned, the top of the lamp seems to be too heavy for the pole or support of the shade. The assembly was worse of all, it took hours to assemble. Usually, after all the work put in to assembling the thing, I'd keep it. But not this time, all of the work should have yielded a better product. It's going back.

First off, if it takes you "hours" to assemble a lamp...you've got other issues.

The product took about 20 min to install. It took me a few minutes to figure out that I had to screw the lower pole onto the upper pole. but other than that, it was a simple install.

The lamp does NOT lean and the top is NOT too heavy for the pole if you tightly screw the nut on the bottom of the pole. If you don't screw that tightly, you will end up with a leaning lamp.

The quality was good enough for a $25 lamp. I didn't expect much since this was $25. If anything, this was better quality than Ikea. The base was very heavy and sturdy.

I really dont understand why the other 2 reviewers gave it such a low rating.
For $25, this is a great lamp.

I could not put the wires into the lamp pole and gave up the installation in the end. My husband put them together and I did not know how he did it. It does not look good in my living room and I am afraid it will fall apart someday......
