This review is from: Hunters of the Northern Forest: Designs for Survival Among the Alaskan Kutchin (Hardcover)
This book is packed with information, showing the methods and means of subsistence by the Gwitchin Athabaskan (referred to as Kutchin Athapaskan by Nelson) peoples during pre- and early-contact times. It's very well written and gives an intimate and detailed account of a culture that has largely passed into history. Anthropologists, trappers, and people with inquisitive minds will all benefit from reading this work.
