Great lead in to the Fury
Having read the reviews after readin all of Jason's other novels, I am confused why people think this was not good. It is a story in the middle of two books. It is not a sample and not a compilation from other books. It is actually a little story/background on characters to come. Anyway I thought it was awesome and the perfect lead into the Fury. Can't wait for the next...

This was well written, and caught my interest. My complaint is that I was led to believe that this was supposed to be a novella. Instead it read like the first chapter in a book. Isn't a novella supposed to be a conmplete story in it's own right?

This is the first "book" I attempted to read on my new Kindle. I was very anxious to see how I would like reading on the Kindle and was very happy to find out about the free books available. I made the mistake of thinking The Hunters was a book when it is, as many others have stated, nothing but a sample consisting of the first chapters of a different "book." I'd like to read the rest but am now afraid I'd get only the next couple chapters in the story before I'd need yet a third "book."

One of the main reasons I shop Amazon is to avoid items like this. Yea, it's free but you're only going to get 6 chapters and certainly not a whole story. This is no different from the free sample you can get with any book on the kindle. Don't waste your time with this one.

This is ridiculous. I download what I think is a book, only to find out it is a teaser. I waste time, space on my Kindle and interest doing this.Please label those that are teasers and not whole books!

I agree with the majority of posts. Call it what it is and save everyone a headache. Free is not free for those of us on International Kindle. Why would I want to pay $2 for the "freebie" when I can wait and get the novel? Those who wish to do so, of course, may. But I thought this was sleazy.
