Product Description

A woman determined to find answers, a man sworn to keep secrets

She was a child when it happened, an innocent brutalized by a man who was meant to protect her. When Kennedy ran, he came after her with every intention to kill—only to find himself face to face with creatures no rational human could explain.

Now, fifteen years later, Kennedy has returned to Pride Mountain, intent of finding out more about the creatures that saved her. Are they animals? Or something more…

Duncan Pride remembers Kennedy. But the woman he sees is nothing like that terrified child he saved. But he can’t let her learn the truth of Pride Mountain. He doesn’t count on her stubbornness, or her courage. He also doesn’t plan on falling in love with the willful, beautiful woman.

He can’t let that get in the way—his Pride is counting on him.

This book takes place in the same world as The Hunters series.

Warning: this title contains hot, steamy, explicit sex told in contemporary graphic language and violence.

This review is from: Hunter's Pride (Kindle Edition)
Hunter's Pride had the potential to be a good short shifter story, unfortunately it was too blah to have any steam and the only reason i finished the book at all was because i hate to leave a book unfinished. The story line provided a good start but the writing wasn't the best and the end result left me wishing i hadn't started the book in the first place.

Kennedy was assaulted by her stepfather when she was only a teenager, she ran as far and as fast as she could but he caught up to her in a forest. When he was about to kill her something stopped him, she couldnt be sure but she thought it was a huge cat/cougar but the memory of that day has always been fuzzy. Now years later she has come home after her foster parents have died and is trying to find out what happened.

Duncan Pride was there the night Kennedy was attacked, he still remembers her after all these years and now that she's back she's starting problems for him and his Pride. Being the alpha he's in charge of making sure everyone is safe and that their secret is never revealed but he soon learns that Kennedy is more then a problem to him, she's his mate. And when she's threatend he'll kill whoever he has to to keep her safe.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Read, August 14, 2011
This review is from: Hunter's Pride (Kindle Edition)
I haven't read much from Shiloh Walker. I enjoyed this story. I always like a protective alpha male! ;o) I like the fact that she brings us into what has happened in the past in the heroine's history and walks us through how she is dealing with it. Thanks for the good story. Will look at more from this author.

Boring!!! To short. I didn't feel a real connection between the couple. Read it and see for yourself. Good thing it was only two dollars.
