Product Description
Huntsman cheese is the weird and the wonderful layer cake like love child of Double Gloucester and Stilton Blue cheese. Before opening the wheel, everything seems normal as the outer coating is plain Double Gloucester, a firm cheese that ie cheeses may appear to be two things that don't belong together, they work well in unison. Neither is overpowering and the tangy Stilton Blue is complimented by it's encasement in the savory Double Gloucester. Cooking with this cheese ma y be a challenge, but definitely make an effort to include it in your next cheese platter. Not only can you get two cheeses out of this one, but there is nothing to start conversation like a big unexpected piece of cheese. For a pairing, you could attempt to match each cheese to a wine individually, but together, the flavors pair nicely with ales and beers.
