There is some excitement at this farm. The animals all run about rushing each other to the hen house! What could the excitement be? Why a little chick is about to hatch! Come on down to the farm and join the fun!



The book is short and easy to read. The theme is farm animals and most kids love book on this topic.



Yes My 2 year old loves this book! She wants to read it over and over!

In this charming children's book, Bunting captures the excitement and anticipation of a new baby as well as the celebration once they arrive.

All the animals on the farm are so excited! The repeating language conveys a real feeling of urgency on the farm. But where are all of the animals rushing off to? Jeff Mack's illustrations begin calmly and develop an increasing intensity, driving you to keep turning pages at an ever-building pace. You easily gets drawn into the growing excitement. Both the words and illustrations again slow us down and we almost hold our breath in anticipation of the hatching chick. You will erupt with joy right along with the animals to greet the new baby chick.

The beauty of this book lies in how the words and illustrations are seamlessly woven together to create an ever-building pace, a moment of breath holding and an inevitable release of joy.

This book would be a great way to introduce the idea of a new baby in the family to a toddler. The repeating words, lively pictures and loving story are perfect for the early preschool set.

I wish I'd seen this book when my son was younger... at 2 and half he really likes it and memorized it after a couple of readings. Bright illustrations with just one word (repeated twice) per spread - with a couple exceptions at the end. Very cute, simple and very engaging - especially considering the lack of text... would recommend.

"Hurry Hurry" is a great book to give to the parents of a new baby. The drawings are wonderful and full of color. It is all about the excitement of a new baby arriving at the barn. What a cute way to welcome the new baby to the parents' home.

We first read this book from the library. We read it so many times my 2 year old memorized the words. It was definitely one I wanted for our collection. It's also a perfect book to give to someone expecting because it's about a Hen who starts the call to everyone (all barnyard friends) to come and welcome her new chick into the world. The excitement is very contagious if read correctly! Got it as a board book so that my 1 year old to look at it over and over again without 'tearing' the pages. We read it at least once a week. Even if there are other new stories to read.

Fantastic fullpage pictures with simple text. My young grandaughter enjoys farm animals and loves reading this book over and over. We heard it at lapsit at the library and couldn't wait to get a copy.

My daughter loves the repetition of this book. By 18 months old, she had it memorized and NEEDS to read it EVERY night (now 21 months). The pictures are great and leave a lot to explore with her.

This is very short quick book for young children. Good for a short read before bed and when a young child doesn't have much of an attention span. It is very cute and the illustrations by Jeff Mack are very nice. We met him at a festival for Rochester Children's authors and he was very nice.

My niece loved this. Her mom was expecting twins so it was a good introduction for her. She read it often and would repeat/memorize the words.

Okay, but nothing special. The text is tight and concise, the illustrations are vibrant. But in this story of barnyard animals racing to see a chick emerge from its shell, nothing was all that remarkable.
