Two loving grandmothers reach out from their heavenly domain to help two beloved grandchildren find each other in A Husband in Her Stocking. Kyle Murdock becomes stranded in the middle of rural Colorado when his Harley breaks down in a snowstorm. Meghan Carroll and her dog Snowflake take in the dangerously handsome biker against all good common sense. Upon finding out that Meghan has never had a real Christmas, Kyle decides to repay her by giving her a Christmas she'll never forget! I've always felt that the stranded hero plot was a good one. Ms. Pacheco caught my attention with the leather jacket, tight jeans and sunglasses right off the bat. Then I got to the part about the angels. Not being a huge fan of so called angel books, I was wary when I realized that the couple would be receiving help from a more sublime area. But Ms. Pacheco wrote the angels characters in such a humorous way that I enjoyed the angels' contribution to the storyline. Ms. Pacheco has a fabulous way of creating an emotional bond between her characters that will give the reader a warm fuzzy feeling! A Husband in Her Stocking is a wonderful Christmas story, which will bring back fond memories of childhood. Ms. Pacheco's story tugs at the heart as the couple, one determined and the other wary, inevitably come together. Christine Pacheco's writing provides an emotional punch as well as inspired moments of sheer comedy. A Husband in Her Stocking offers the reader a lovely afternoon of reading.
