Carly Macalister intended to live the perfect life in the ideal world. When her husband, Paul, leaves his job to become an artist (with no talent whatsoever, but he loves the idea of it!), she still has Patrice, the young and lovely nanny who keeps everything and everyone together; and childhood friend Alex, who never stopped loving Carly and shares with her a tragedy long past but never resolved. A few days before Christmas, Paul and Patrice disappear, leaving Carly with financial problems that must be resolved, a bruised ego that must be healed, and a desperate need to be strong for her children. In Tracy Davis’s novel My Husband Ran Off with the Nanny and God Do I Miss Her, the author creates a funny, poignant, and sometimes heartbreaking story of one woman’s struggle to survive. From the first frantic scene to the surprise ending, readers will be carried along by this wonderfully compelling page turner.
I'm Tracy Davis and I just published MY HUSBAND RAN OFF WITH THE NANNY AND GOD DO I MISS HER about a woman whose entire life may as well have been tossed in a dryer set on high. The story is hysterically funny, a bit sad, yet inevitably it is an uplifting novel about a woman who has become involuntarily a Suddenly Single Mom and her bumpy road to a whole new life.
Having grown up in Washington DC, my other passion is politics> I wrote in The White Housefor President Bush Sr, For all four years, and I even wrote in the Senate for the late Senator Ted Kennedy as an intern in High School> I now am a frequent guest on Fox News.com Strategy Room as well on radio on LATALKRADIO.com with TJ Mccormack where we discuss womwen's issuews, current evnts, and light humorous subjects as well. Its like a Regis and Kelly on radio and is heard world-wide every morning EST between 1- and 12.
I feel my book is targetted for women and it is a story of cictory that hopefully not only makes people laugh, but gives women in all situations hope that if they are stuck in the wrong relationship_ emotionally or physically abusive for example, they MUSt get out and they can make it on their own and find a new life for themselves and their children.
In that light, I donate a portion of the sales for every book to Th Retreat< which is a fantastic program in Eastern Long Island that helps abused women and their children break away gives them support, shelter, therapy, lawyers everything they need to give then a whole new lease on lif free of abuse and feer.
Nothing kills the sould like abuse!
