Enjoyable,
By A Customer
This review is from: Husband Test (Presents Passion) (Harlequin Presents) (Paperback)
I starting reading books by this author about a year ago and I enjoyed the book so much that I became a fan. This book was not as good as the two previous books but I stilled found it enjoyable. What I enjoy most about this author is that her male character is always strong, arrogant, sexy and a take charge type. The female character tends to be feisty but feminine and is always a challenge to the male counterpart. There are also a lot of well written sexy scenes. If you enjoy this type of book you will love this story. I will continue to buy books from this author.

Was a crime was committed? I think so.,
This review is from: The Husband Test (Harlequin Presents) (Kindle Edition)
I agree with the other reviewers about A) Katrina taking the ex-girlfriend's word over her husband's was a bit unrealistic especially when paternity can be proved rather easily and B) there seemed to be little love between the two main characters.
Pros: Easy read and generally well written. Katrina seemed to be portrayed as a good businesswoman. It was nice to see Katrina shown to be more than competent in her work and dedicated to doing her job right as well as not putting up with men in the professional arena who won't resepct her work ethic. Cons: Besides the two items listed above there were a couple other items. I believe when a man has sexual relations with a partner in anger with no regard to whether the partner wants to participate in such relations - it is sexual assault and not sex or love. That is not behavior to be respected in my opinion. Also it appeared the side characters were sprinkled in without real purpose. I kept expecting the ex-stepbrother to lose it a bit more and do something that added to the plot instead of just being a desperate low level blackmailer who wasn't even good at it. I would not recommend this book as there as so many better ones out there where a man does not have to stoop to assault on his partner.

Biggest complaint is the fact that Katrina would take the word of an ex-mistress over her own husband's knowing that the ex just wanted to get back in with him. Couldn't believe all the testing took so long either! Surely if he was so well off he could have had the results and such much sooner especially since the ex really didn't have much money. Katrina should have kept the faith and she really needs to do something about her self esteem!!
