I'm a multi-published romance/women's fiction author for Harlequin/Silhouette and Red Dress Ink who loves to write about real people dealing with the drama (and humor) of everyday life. I've been a voracious reader since I was four, still manage to read a book or two a week despite having five sons and a full-time writing career.

My 'reviews' are more 'recommendations', since I don't post reviews about books that don't ring my chimes. I tend to be drawn to women's fiction and mainstream family drama most often, with some mysteries tossed in for balance. For a book to 'work' for me, I have to find the characters appealing and believeable; the prose must be compelling and well-crafted; and it doesn't hurt if there's a good dollop of humor somewhere along the line.

I've just recently discovered Karen Templeton and can't get enough of her writing. I loved this book because it's not your typical romance novel where boy meets girl, girl/boy fight their attraction, boy gets girl in the end. This book is about a married couple who have been together for 12 years and have 5 children. They're going through a crises in their marriage due to health issues and regrets centering on a "what if...." situation the wife is facing. This is a wonderful story about the enduring love of a husband for his wife and how he'll adapt in order to not only save his marriage but to make sure his wife feels truly fulfilled as her own person. I was brought to tears many times while reading about Darryl's love for Faith and his devotion not only to her and his children but to making sure she never regrets having married him. It was a beautiful story.
