I was very skeptical at first to read this novel, but after hearing all the buzz about it I decided to go ahead and give it a try. The novel did start off slow but that was just for the reader to get their bearings stable, because once the novel picks up the emotional roller coaster ride won't stop. The author inserts small plots regarding each character throughout the book that will lead you up to the final character development. The author Amaleka MCcall does an excellent job with this one and is setting the pace to bring something different to the Urban Street reads. Character development, suspense, mystery, twists-turns, and breath-taking moments is in this read that will lead u all the way to the final chapter. Amaleka MCcall has stepped out the box with this one, and I have to say what an excellent job done. I highly recommend this one for everyone, but I caution you wisely Hush will not be a read u can be quiet about.

Hush was a very fast pace read..u won't put it down..this book is full of twists and turns that will have u not wanting to put it down! This one is a page turner and will leave u saying Dammmmmm....

First time reading anything by this author and I have to say she did a great job with keep her readers on there toes the whole way though.

Deidre is a FBI agent set to do a undercover job by going to get information about drug dealers that go by the name F.A.B run by Chazz, T-bay and Loca.

The book set you up to read and get to know ever character in the book including Ricky he is also a FBI agent that sent Deidre undercover giver her the undercover name DeeDee.

Ricky was also a friend of Deidre late father.

Deidre had to find out did the FAB girls have anything to do with the disappearance of Amber Reeves the Senator's daughter.

Well Deidre is undercover she gets very attached to Chazz's bother RJ and they become very close.

Well she is undercover so much details and drama accure with everyone. Deidre found out things she never thought would have ever happen.

This book keeps you wanting more. Suspence, drama, the whole nine yards.

I liked this book I give a thumbs up to the author for doing her thang.

I read this book within 24 hours. I couldn't put it down because I couldn't wait to read what was going to happen next. One major "discovery" in the book was predictable but overall, this was a good read.

FBI Special Agent Deidre Aponte joined the bureau in order to uncover the details surrounding her father's suspicious suicide. Even as a child, she never believed her father would willingly leave her and her mother.

Special Agent- in- Charge, Ricky Blum, has always been right by Deidre's side taking the place of her father. Soon their closeness becomes more complicated for everyone.

Unbeknownst to Deidre, a career building case is placed in her hands. While Deidre relishes in the possibilities that could come from such a case, so much just isn't adding up. Unable to place all of the missing pieces, Aponte obediently jumps right in and quickly finds herself delving deeper and deeper undercover in order to connect with F.A.B, a notorious all girl team with NYC on lock.

When friendship, love and acceptance start to smear Aponte's eyes, she soon finds herself stuck between who or what she really is. Is she a federal agent or a drug dealer? HUSH written by Amaleka McCall is definitely certified as a book worthy of my recommendation. Gun play, bloodshed and larceny, all the essential elements necessary for an official page turner!

OOSA Online Book Club BOTM

I must admit that I nor my book club (SoulCal Sistah's) wasn't to sure that we were going to like this book, based on the way it started. However, it was truly a FUN and EXCITING story to read. This new author is amazing, I'm ready for more from her, the twists and turns in this book had me guessing the entire journey!

Way to go Ms. McCall - write more - we're ready!!!!!

THIS BOOK STARTED OFF SLOW BUT WHEN THE STORY KICKED IN IT REALLY TOOK OFF. I MUST SAY AT ONE POINT I COULD NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN UNTIL THE END. I ONLY GAVE IT 4 STARS BECAUSE IT STARTED OFF SLOW!!

This book had many twist and turns and started off great.

After reading the reviews for this story I had to buy it and im very glad that I did. The story was filled with twist and turns and left me on the edge of my seat with everything that took place.

The story is centered around Deidre who is sent undercover to find out what happened to a Senators daughter that was kidnapped, the FBI believed that the girls kidnapping had something to do with a notorious all girl gang called F.A.B. While undercover Diedre finds out that their is more to her assignment then what she was aware of and it goes all the way back to her father who was murdered when she was a little girl. Diedre finds herself questioning the people she works with hand trusting the people she has to bring down.

This story was a fast read. I loved how everything connected and brought the story together with one big plot and dramatic ending. All I can say for what happened at the end of the story is payback is a Mutha and Greed can kill love in an instant.

Entering this arena could prove to be a deadly mistake for Deidre because as she becomes grossly involved with F.A.B., she soon discovers some shocking facts that connects the dots about her past. Will it be too late for Deidre or will she be silenced forever?

HUSH was a cross between a mystery and a thriller and I enjoyed the overall plotline. The story was very fast-paced which is what kept me turning the pages. The author left lots of clues throughout the novel which would allow any reader to speculate and come to their own conclusions about what might happen. The clues had gotten a little too predictable at the end, but I still feel that HUSH was worth the read.

Deidre Aponte, a sexy FBI Agent, has been given an assignment to go undercover and get close to the F.A.B. and get information and answers about the kidnapping of the Senator's daughter. Deidre has a lot on her plate already from trying to get to the bottom of her fathers death (which is why she became an FBI Agent and dealing with her alcoholic mother. Once Deidre has gotten good with the F.A.B. being an FBI Agent was no longer top priority.

Amaleka brings nonstop action with twists and turns throughout the book. You never know what to expect next, this is a must read. Who can you trust and who will live to tell the story?

All I want to know is.... Can you keep a secret?.....
