these are comfy, but not waterproof. the seams are sealed, but the leather gets soaked and then the moisture will permeate and soak the socks too. sucks. bought it b/c it was "waterproof", what a huge disappointment.

I was looking for a slip on shoe that was good for going though airport security with casual clothes, but would still look good with a suit. I first tried the Leverage, but it was a bit blocky looking and didn't look good with the suit. I returned the Leverage and bought these and have not been disappointed. More form fitting, but just as comfortable as the Leverage, they have a much more sophisticated look and are fine with a suit. One note of caution- I have found the width on Hush Puppies to be a bit more generous than Rockports or similar brands, so you might have to go a width down if you're borderline.
They have no metal, so they are fine in metal detectors as well. They are also extremely light weight and pack well.
