I have several (relatively) mild chronic conditions, one of them being a kind of muscular dsytrophy(DM2 is what it's called). I also have extremely flat feet with hammer toes that I've dealt with nearly all my life(I'm 26). I work for a living so I need to be well shod in order to make it through the day. Because of all this it's very difficult to find a proper shoe. A search can take weeks.

After searching for something that was fairly versatile, a shoe that is well suited for any casual and some dress occasions, I came across this shoe. It has a well-built sole, and it ties up just above the ankle for added support. The toe box isn't too restrictive on my hammer toes either.

This is a shoe that is well worth the $130-$140 range. I'd buy another set of these or any other set of hushpuppies any day.

i am 66 yrs old and have problems with feet heel spurs and plantar problem of arches. wear arch insoles, which fit into these h puppies real good. these endurance boots are made real good with extra good support for nyc concrete streets. i own now three pairs of same boots in different colors. this by far the best h puppie for me. some hush puppies i send back not theses.i scared they will stop making these thats why i look to buy more. in the days of our products being made overseas instead of u. s. a,this one is still made good. levi does not make jeans as good as before and clarks shoes have gone downhill in their product. if you want a good supported boots with goods looks buy them fast. also they are waterproof.

True to the other reviews these are very comfortable boots.
I do remodeling work and am on my feet for 12 hours a day. I would recomend buying an alternate pair of insoles for some added comfort.
The reason for the 3 stars is that the stitching on the outer side of the boots, where the widest part of your feet are, comes undone within a couple of months.
I have had 3 or four pairs of this boot and it has been the same each time. After the stitching went in one pair after only a few weeks I sent them back to Hush Puppie and they were kind enough to send a replacement. If not for the stitching issue this would easily be a 5 star review.

The leather is fantastic. Very comfortable. The sole has a very good grip. I'll give it a four star because it does not look as good as it appears in the picture. Then again thats true about anything in the web. May be I'm a tad vain.

I have these in Tan and Black and have worn them every single day for four years now.

I just bought them again as the inner lining wore out. Externally however there is not enough wear to think about retiring them (no stitching has come undone anywhere).

They are waterproof enough that my feet seldom get wet sloshing thru snow/slush/rain to the train every day.

They are not well insulated, but I consider that a good thing because they wear well in the summer heat. In winter I just put on wool socks.

They are very comfortable and available in extra wide widths and are passable for business casual. What more can I ask for?

The only downside so far is that each of the 3 pairs I have owned had a break in period where one heel would make this compression like noise as my heel pushes into the heel of the shoe. It depends on how I walk. When I notice it, I just change my gait and it goes away. It could be the way I walk or that I bought them too big (I like lots of wiggle room for my toes). But so far the issue has eventually disappeared each time. I had forgotten all about it until I bought this pair a month ago, so I know I have not changed my gait to adapt to the shoe and my older pairs have not made the noise in years (still don't).

I have owned many shoes over the years, and these are by far my favorite.

Sorry, I wanted to like these as they seemed to fit my needs. However; within a 1/2 hour of wearing for the firest time they caused a quarter sized blister on the right heel. Size is correct as plenty of toe room. Unfortunately the heel pad is a piece of cheap hard leather that is ill fitted to the heel. As these are described as "diabetic friendly" if I did have a vascular problem blisters would be dangerous. OK, so I selectively stretched out the right heel area, and tried again. This time same blistering on the other side! Just a poor design and cheap materials. To make things worse they "paint" the inside of the shoe black. look under the footbead and you can see the brush marks. Well the cheap dye rubs off so I have three pairs of sock with black stains. Really stupid and I cant figure out why they did it. I guess to cover up imperfections in the interior.

Only good thing I can say is that the foot bed is fairly comfortable. I have learned in 50+ years of buying shoes that GOOD shoes dont raise blisters. So far two wearings and two blisters. So these thes can NOT be considered good shoes. I will keep trying to stretch them out but I dont think I can fundamentally reconfigure the heels on these. I cant recommend them.

I always have trouble purchasing shoes online because every shoe manufacturer has different sizing even within their own brands (different styles). These are a very good fit and I love the durability. I generally wear shoes where the right sole on the right side always gets worn out so quickly. These seem to be lasting. I have a coworker that bought these 3 years ago and the soles look new still (all the grooves and traction is still there) that is why I bought them. I highly recommend these. I am even tempted to buy a second pair just like these to have when these eventually die (hopefully in 3 years as well)

Tried them on today knowing I would be working 12 hrs and did not meet expectations. Gel cushioning was more of a pain then relieving it. The gel inserts are not leveled flat with the insoles causing pain. Top cushioning was not that comfortable. Hopefully after breaking them in they will be much better. As of right now, ITS OKAY! Nothing special. Feel I did not get what I paid for. Day 2 coming up! Not looking forward to another 12 hr shift with these boots.

Son went to Nicaragua with a pair of Hush Puppies Endurance boots and a pair of heavy Aldo shoes. Shoes broke down and boots are still going strong. We will be sending him another pair! He says they are so comfortable. He has never worn boots before. Water and mud are daily conditions and these boots are great for the climate and for someone who does a lot of walking or on their feet all day.
