Nothing special here. It doesn't scream "high quality" but it gets the job done. Sockets, screwdriver with insert bits, and an adjustable wrench. When I get something better, this set will live in the trunk of my car.

I have one gripe to warrant four stars. See that weird thing hanging off the side of the neat little case? That's the ratchet. This has troubled me for some time. On the one hand, this packaging might be meant so you can play around with the ratchet while you're in the store to see how it works. On the other hand, I would think 99.99% of people who buy this have at least a cursory knowledge of how ratchets work. At any rate, after you purchase this, the ratchet still hangs there. It's like a pizza delivery guy you delivers your meal, you pay, and he stands there watching you eat. It's time to go, ratchet! Unfortunately, it has nowhere to go, and when you inevitably have had enough and finally throw the ratchet into a tool box, the plastic holder for the ratchet will still be there, taunting you.

In closing, I hope whoever designed this case, forgot to include room for the ratchet, and decided to "just go with it," has been fired from his or her job and is now delivering pizza (no offense to pizza delivery people).

PS, you might want to check around on prices.

I first bought this mini stubby tool kit at home depot about 5 years ago and fell in love with it. This kit comes in so handy that I now have several kits.

The ratcheting screwdriver is a godsend for its small size and toughness. You'll surprised how much torque you can generate with this tiny wonder. It comes with plenty of bits and also stores bits in the handle.

My original screwdriver finally stopped working after 4 years of hard labor. I did everything from working on my bike and car, fixing refridgerators, various plumbing jobs, hanging drywall, installing electrical fixtures, working on solar projects, and carpentry. I definitely got my money's worth out of it so I cant complain.

The wrench worked wonders for me under the sink when I didnt have a basin wrench. The stubby is probably the only other wrench that could tighten the faucet to the sink due to the lack of space.

The ratchet is tougher than I expected. It makes quick work of bolts. I use this a ton to put projects together.

I also like the carrying case. I can throw it around without the polycarbonate plastic shattering.

This is a terrific kit and will last for many years and I dont hesitate to recommend it. That being said, I would not bother buying this on amazon, the price is ridiculous. I got mine at home depot for $9.99 and so can you.

My boyfriend had this set and I was helping him work on our bicycles to tighten gears, etc. I fell in love with the ease of use that this set provides.

Boyfriend left his tool set on the boat, and out in the rain, gradually lost the screwdriver bits, and the tools became rusty and icky. Still totally functional though. (minus the bits gone AWOL).

Now i am a girly girl, but I'm also pretty handy. So I decided I wanted the same tool set of my own, for when boyfriend and I move in together. I didn't trust him not to lose or "mistreat" a new set so I'm keeping it for my own. We both love using the screwdriver and wrench for around-the-house projects. Haven't really had a use for the socket wrench yet, but when I used it on the bikes that day, it made the job so much easier, and even fun!

The ratchet failed under very light use and a piece fell out of it.
I put the piece back but it still didn't ratchet properly.
Nice case on this.... you can see clearly every size, because the sockets face straight up.
I got mine replaced under the full lifetime warranty without hassle.
I raised my review to 3 stars because of the easy no hassle replacement.
